Biography
Emerging in 2000, From Safety to Where delivered a compact, noise-infused style rooted in powerful bass lines and sharp, jagged rhythms, evoking the kindred punk spirit from the dawn of the 1980s. Reminiscent of acts like Mission to Burma and Gang of Four, their elusive 7" EP showcased a tuneful approach to sonic experimentation, earning widespread acclaim. The South Carolina trio's follow-up effort, Irreversible Trend from 2002, shifted them toward a gloomier, more gothic realm. By incorporating keyboards alongside an ominous atmospheric quality, the group softened certain abrasive elements while weaving a handful of catchy elements into their dense sonic barrier.
