Biography
Emerging from Watford, punk/rock outfit Funeral Shakes fuses somber lyrics with the propulsive drive of punk. The group came together in 2017 as a mini-supergroup, pulling members from several active bands: Em Foster on guitar, late of Nervus; Lee Barratt on drums, formerly of Gallows; and both Simon Baker on guitar and Calvin Roffey on bass/vocals, who had previously played in the Smoking Hearts. They soon joined the roster of Silent Cult Records and delivered their self-titled debut album on the label in 2018.
