Biography
Future Clouds & Radar came together in 2006 under the direction of Robert Harrison, who had previously led Cotton Mather. The project cultivated an eclectic, ecstatic strain of indie pop that echoed the psychedelic textures of XTC and the Beatles, the sharp soul of Elvis Costello, and the buoyant brass and shimmer associated with the Starlight Mints. Completing the lineup were bassist Josh Gravelin, keyboardist Hollie Thomas, drummer Nina Singh, and vibraphonist/trumpeter Kullen Fuchs. Operating out of Austin, the ensemble issued its self-titled double-disc debut full-length during spring 2007, then issued the comparatively compact EP Peoria the following autumn.
