Biography
US rock outfit Galeforce derived its moniker from the family names of the sibling pair who supplied its initial creative momentum, Len Gale on vocals and drums alongside Ken Gale handling guitar. Completing the lineup were Sneaky Pete on guitar, Bobby Lyle on keyboards, and Charlie Souza on bass, and this configuration delivered the ensemble’s first release, a self-titled album issued by Fantasy Records in 1978. Their robust, exuberant blues-rock approach drew swift parallels to Bad Company, yet Len Gale’s position at the drum kit curtailed his efforts to mirror Paul Rodgers. Even so, Gale Force stands as a noteworthy accomplishment, undiminished by its lack of commercial success.
