Biography
Originating from Orange County, Gang Wizard earned a reputation across Northern California and Oregon for their singular brand of noise-making. The trio—known only as Christopher B, Mike L, and Jake A—typically assembles its recordings on a four-track recorder in one take, without retakes or overdubs. This approach yielded several split EPs with acts including Seaworthy, Minmae, Monotract, and Blodeuedd, among others, prior to Unread Records issuing the group’s first 12" EP, Robert, in 1999. One year later, the Dutch-based Morc Records released their debut full-length, El Cortez Will By Y'a Drink.
