Biography
Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter Timothy Meskers created Garden Gate as a neo-psychedelic baroque pop project. After his acclaimed indie pop outfit Brown Recluse disbanded in 2012, Meskers started the more experimental psych duo White Candles in 2014. The next year his solo outlet Garden Gate issued its first release, the Houses EP, on U.K. indie Sunstone Records. Blending spacy psych textures with melodic, '60s-indebted indie pop, Garden Gate's full-length debut Dark Harvest appeared in August 2016 on Sunstone, with Portland indie Golden Brown overseeing the release stateside.
