Biography
Gary Farr gained his primary recognition through his association with the T-Bones, an endeavor that spanned from the early 1960s well into the 1980s. The son of British heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Farr, he developed an early passion for folk and blues during his formative years. His initial performances took place in the pubs and clubs of Sussex, leading him to assemble the T-Bones. Frequent personnel shifts marked the group's history, among them a brief period featuring keyboardist Keith Emerson, and the ensemble secured a residency at London's Crawdaddy Club succeeding the Yardbirds' departure. Though celebrated for their dynamic live shows, the T-Bones remained confined to underground circles throughout their extended run before dissolving in the late 1980s.
