Biography
Geezy Escobar, an Akron native who established Atlanta as his base, channels the city's trap aesthetic by alternating rapid-fire verses with Auto-Tuned melodic hooks. Stylistically positioned between Future and Young Thug, the rapper surfaced during the early 2010s and gained traction toward the decade's end via the track "Cool," which featured DaBaby.
After moving from Ohio to Georgia to focus on music, Escobar issued early underground singles including "Just Because" and "Shoot Out." His 2017 mixtape Fuck Da Cap, Vol. 1 contained the cut "Moon Walkin," recorded with regular partner Juney Knotzz. The follow-up arrived twelve months later; Fuck Da Cap, Vol. 2 added further joint appearances by Knotzz alongside the T. Rollin' collaboration "Pull Up." In 2019 the DaBaby-assisted "Cool" became a viral success and appeared on Section 8 Mind State, an album that also included Mello Oowee on "Just Go," Euro Gotit on "Colder," Bri Biase on "Shake Sum," and Knotzz on "Walkin Wit the Devil."
