Biography
Known for his dual roles as rapper and singer, Demarco Castle has performed and recorded as Gemstones after earlier using the name Gemini. The Chicago native earned major visibility with prominent spots on the songs "Just Might Be OK" and "He Say She Say" from Lupe Fiasco's 2006 release Food & Liquor. Once he adopted the Gemstones name, he appeared on several tracks from Fiasco's 2007 album The Cool. Although an album was slated to come out via Fiasco's 1st & 15th label, Castle abandoned those plans to focus solely on Christian music. Even after issuing multiple mixtapes between 2006 and 2012, he waited until 2015 to deliver his first official album, Blind Elephant.
