Biography
Since early 1999 the Olympia, WA ensemble Gene Defcon—drawn from the ranks of Bikini Kill, Tight Bros. From Way Back When, Bangs, Mocket, and the Primadonnas—has operated as a working unit. Lookout Records issued the group’s opening EP, Liz, the next year, introducing a sound that merges punk, new wave, and comic flair. Toward the close of 2000 K Records followed with the full-length Come Party With Me.
