Biography
Geri King committed the greater part of her existence to vocal performance and initiated her independent path toward the end of the 1990s. Her introduction to singing took place at the age of twelve upon joining New York’s St. Charles Borromeo Choir, where she remained for six years while sharpening her skills. Toward the close of that decade she entered a demanding period of solo work by adopting a strict routine of vocal preparation. In 2000 she encountered producer Kimo Kaulani and secured a contract with Nuendo Music Group the following spring. Her first recording appeared in 2001 as the Tenderly EP, a project that merges her accumulated influences of pop, R&B, jazz, and gospel. Among its tracks is the song “Am I Your Fantasy,” which earned airplay in distant territories such as Russia and Japan.
