Biography
Following the indictment of Dayton Family rapper Matthew Hinkle, Ghetto E assumed his role during the making of F.B.I., the second album by the notorious Flint, MI, rap collective. Although that release earned underground acclaim in hardcore rap circles and secured Ghetto E a place in the respected group beside his older brother Bootleg, further legal difficulties blocked the Dayton Family from completing any follow-up project. Once those personal matters were settled, Ghetto E mirrored the path taken by fellow Dayton Family members Bootleg and Shoestring and cut his own first solo record, Ghetto Theater, which came out on Detroit rapper Esham’s Overcore label in early 2001.
