A composer and musician from Italy named Giorgio Giampà has created music for numerous television programs, motion pictures, and documentary films, primarily those set in Italy or Russia. His birthplace is Rome, where drum lessons began at the age of six. During adolescence he immersed himself in the local hardcore punk community of Rome and even established a record label of his own. He later shifted his focus toward score composition and achieved considerable acclaim, earning the Best Score prize at the Sulmona Film Festival in 2009 for the documentary titled Girls Life Trembles. Following this early success came further significant endeavors, such as his contributions to the 2013 movie The South Is Nothing. These experiences eventually drew him once more into the realm of popular music, resulting in partnerships with figures including Nic Cester of Jet along with the Iskra String Quartet. In 2021 he received the Best Score Award at Canneseriess in recognition of his scoring for the series Christian.
