Biography
A pianist from the West Coast, Glenn Horiuchi fuses jazz elements together with both Asian and Western classical traditions in his playing. Albums appeared from him across the 1980s and 1990s via the Soul Note, Asian Improv, and Music & Arts imprints, where he frequently performed alongside multi-instrumentalist Francis Wong as well as drummer Jeanette Wrate. Recordings from the close of the 1990s include his work alongside Joseph Jarman for the latter's Pachinko Dream Track 10 along with the solo project Mercy.
