Biography
Goatreign emerged as a two-man metal outfit under the direction of veteran guitarist Mike Hickey, who also performed bass and vocals on the recording after gaining recognition through earlier stints with Venom, Cronos, Carcass, Cathedral, Altered Dominance, and the Hounds of Hasselvander. The duo, completed by drummer Shawn Progen, issued its debut release—a self-titled EP—in 2007, earning strong critical notice while traversing numerous metal styles. Wabana Records held the project under contract.
