Biography
Formed in Sweden, the death metal supergroup God Among Insects unites the skills of multiple veteran extreme metal performers. Masse Broberg handles vocals under the alias Emperor Magus Caligula, recognized from Dark Funeral and Hypocrisy. Guitar duties fall to Kenth Philipson, also tied to the Project Hate. Tobias Gustafsson plays drums, drawing on prior stints in Armageddon, Eucharist, and Vomitory. Tomas Elofsson rounds out the quartet on bass without additional band connections. The group has issued only a single record so far, 2004's World Wide Death, built primarily around mid-paced death metal.
