Biography
Memphis rapper Goon Twinn advanced his recordings through swift lyrical bursts, hard-hitting verses, and lean beats. The 2018 single “Turn Up 1” marked his first major success, earning underground traction in the late 2010s while reflecting the rhythm-centered style that shaped his earliest material.
Goon Twinn entered the scene in 2016 with a run of remixes that displayed his nimble phrasing across then-current instrumentals. Recorded when he was 17, his debut mixtape 2 Days in Hell surfaced in 2018 and supplied the anthemic “Turn Up 1,” whose relentless cadence and self-assured lines quickly drew millions of streams worldwide. Later that year he released the follow-up Hell & Back, which added the next two chapters of the “Turn Up” series plus more introspective numbers such as “Voices” and “Again.” He maintained momentum with high-impact production, scoring another success via 2019’s “Pop My Shit, Pt. 1,” then delivered its sequel “Pop My Shit, Pt. 2” in January 2020.
