Biography
Emerging during an era flooded with thrash metal acts, New Jersey's Gothic Slam registered only the faintest mark on heavy metal's timeline via a pair of respectable yet unremarkable albums: Killer Instinct in 1988 and Just a Face in the Crowd in 1989. Their most tangible legacy for the style arguably rests in unveiling skilled drummer Dave Chavarri, who later found steady work with Laaz Rockit, M.O.D., Pro-Pain, and Ill Niño, whereas the remaining members—vocalist Daniel Gomes, guitarists Klaude Ryker and Bill Genese, and bassist J.T.—never resurfaced in any notable capacity.
