In 1968 Graffiti issued a little-known album bearing its own name on the ABC label. Joint production came from Bob Thiele, whose earlier credits centered on numerous leading jazz artists, Eddie Kramer, best recognized for his engineering on Jimi Hendrix sessions, and Jay Senter. Although the performances displayed solid craftsmanship and the material ranged across styles, the record generated scant lasting interest by folding jazz, classical, pop, and blues touches into a conventional psychedelic approach colored by West Coast rock and built around frequent high multi-part vocal harmonies.
