Biography
Born to the infamous soul-jazz musician Grant Green, Green Jr. assembled a comparable group in the 1990s to extend his father’s musical tradition. After Jungle Strut, issued solely in Japan, earned critical praise, he shifted his performances to the United States, where he could at last produce a recording for the domestic market. Several years of songwriting and stage work yielded enough material for the 2002 release of the fiery Introducing G.G. on Jazzateria Recordings.
