Biography
Emerging from Denton, Texas, yet now anchored in New York City, Grassfight fuse goth’s brooding mood with post-punk’s sharp angles, shaping a singular psychedelic strain of indie rock. The trio channels darkness and urgency while threading lo-fi grime through its textures, lending extra grit and pressure to the atmospheric passages so that tracks swell outward and draw listeners into saturated, distorted shadows. Icon, EP1 launched the band’s EP series upon its release in fall 2011. Icon, EP2 followed as the next installment during summer 2012.
