Green Buzzard

Sydney-based Green Buzzard formed in the New South Wales town of Oberon and quickly established itself as an Aussie indie pop act that fuses expansive Brit-pop melodies with the garage-punk edge associated with Guided by Voices. The group, shaped by the sounds of Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., and Robert Pollard’s GBV, arrived in 2015 via the track “Zoo Fly,” earning notice both at home and in the pages of NME, The Guardian, and Q Magazine. That exposure drew the interest of the respected Australian indie imprint I Oh You—home to Violent Soho, DMA’s, and DZ Deathrays—which signed the band and issued its first EP, Easy Queezy Squeezy, the following year.
