Gregor, an indie pop solo artist hailing from Melbourne, Australia, first started sharing his eccentric home-recorded pop songs via Bandcamp during the mid-2010s. After self-releasing several EPs and compilations, he delivered his initial major statement through the 2018 full-length Silver Drop. He broadened his sonic palette with more intricate production on the vibrant and lovesick Destiny in 2020, then examined the intertwined nature of joy and despair across the expansive 2024 release Satanic Lullabies.

Drawing from artists that include the Durutti Column and Arthur Russell alongside Björk and Frank Ocean, Gregor launched his independent output in early 2014 with the instrumental EP Aneurysms, which centered on lo-fi ambient guitar textures. Late 2015 brought the more sprawling and ramshackle UW, a collection of unfinished tracks, fragments, and sonic experiments. The following year, Melbourne indie label Chapter Music signed the multi-instrumentalist and put out Thoughts & Faults, a 14-song cassette compilation drawn from his assorted demos. October 2018 saw the arrival of his debut proper full-length, Silver Drop, which blended bedroom pop sensibilities with progressive and occasionally humorous songwriting while gathering the varied approaches developed over the prior four years. Destiny surfaced in 2020 with a comparably eclectic approach, elevated production values, and a dreamier overall atmosphere. In 2024, Satanic Lullabies unfolded as an expansive "bedroom odyssey" anchored in innocence and anguish while showcasing meticulous pop craftsmanship.
