Group Du Jour

Hailing from Oregon, the ensemble turned away from conventional studio techniques. They instead relied on a self-made approach that blended MIDI preparation with live takes fed straight to digital two-track tape, thereby shaping the finished mix while performing. Group Du Jour ran the New Weave record label, an imprint that also released Crommie’s solo work alongside releases by other artists.
