Grupo Galé

Diego Gale leads Grupo Gale, the self-described "Columbian Orchestra" currently comprising up to nine members and featuring three lead singers—Diego Javier Gonzales, Carlos Llamosa, and Charly Towers. The ensemble places pronounced weight on brisk, danceable rhythms in the salsa vein, securing substantial domestic acclaim while drawing fervent crowds internationally, above all across Europe. Before heading Grupo Gale, Diego served as percussionist for Grupo Niche, one of the most respected and renowned salsa dance bands in all of Columbia, and performed with la Sonora Dinamita, la Inmensidad, the late Frankie Ruiz, El Cantante de los Cantantes, Hector Lavoe, Alex Leon, Marvin Santiago, and Luis Enrique. Since the mid-'90s the group has released several albums, among them 1995's Afirmando, 1996's Dominando la Salsa, and 2001's Con el Mismo Swing.
