Biography
Diné (Navajo) singers and instrumentalists Paul Guy Jr. and Teddy Allen first documented the auditory elements of their community's peyote ceremonies with the 1992 release Peyote Canyon. Gourd rattles, water drums and incantations underpin the healing, celebratory and mind-expanding qualities of those rituals, qualities that surface again across later Guy & Allen projects including Peyote Brothers, Peyote Medicine, Peyote Strength and Diné Peyote Songs.
