Biography
Before reaching double digits, Haley Pharo had already launched her pursuit of a music career. During her Dallas upbringing she delivered country standards at area Opry stages, later commuting repeatedly to Los Angeles for lessons with esteemed vocal coach Seth Riggs. Increased maturity and industry exposure soon opened doors to session work and her own recordings. After settling permanently in Los Angeles, she kept writing material while cultivating ties with fellow singers, songwriters, producers, and eventual collaborators. A period spent as backup vocalist on Justin Timberlake’s tour introduced her to will.i.am, with whom she later cut several tracks, among them an unreleased duet. Deeper immersion in pop music broadened her sonic palette, leading to a partnership with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Fun., Beyoncé) on her first album. Haywire Records released the self-titled debut in spring 2014, prompting comparisons to P!nk and Katy Perry.
