Biography
Emerging from Germany's corpse paint-centric strand of black metal's second wave, Halphas fuse grandiose melodies, vicious riffing, and unrelentingly grim atmospheres into a poisonous amalgam of sonic and thematic aggression. The quartet, built in 2014 around drummer Tempestas, guitarist Thurstan, bassist Forcas, and vocalist Legatas, followed a 2016 demo with their first full-length album, Dawn of a Crimson Empire. Folter Records issued the LP in December 2017.
