Biography
Born in Prague, soprano Hana Blaziková completed studies in musicology and philosophy at Charles University. She pursued vocal training under Jiri Kotouc at the Prague Conservatory, receiving her diploma in voice during 2002. While she has taken operatic roles that include Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, the greater share of her work lies in early music, where she both sings and performs on Gothic harp. Her collaborations encompass Masaaki Suzuki and the Bach Collegium Japan, Philippe Herreweghe and the Collegium Vocale Gent, Ton Koopman and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir, Václav Luks and Collegium Vocale 1704, Stephan MacLeod and Gli Angeli Genève, Peter Kooy and Sette Voci, Robert Hugo and Capella Regia Praha, and Rudolf Lutz and the J.S. Bach-Stiftung. She has also belonged to the Tiburtina Ensemble, an ensemble devoted to medieval repertoire. Her discography appears on Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Supraphon, CPO, Accent, and additional labels.
