Biography
Ray Benzino, Jeff Two Times, and Johnny Bananas form the Boston-rooted production crew Hangmen 3. Prior work with Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Kurupt, and The Outlawz informs their focus on neighborhood street realities, which they channel into funkadelic breakbeats supporting the Wiseguys’ (WG) hardcore rhymes. The Wiseguys began in 1995 as a dozen opposing street thugs, then secured a Def Jam contract two years later and issued their gangsta-driven debut album Destiny and Immaturity. Hangmen 3 issued the explosive anthology No Skits Vol. 1 in mid-2000, spotlighting contributions from Wiseguys members Mann Terror, Masta Criminal, Big Roscoe, M3, and Tangg da Juice.
