Hannah Hobbs

Australian worship leader and singer/songwriter Hannah Hobbs first built her reputation as one of Hillsong Worship’s main songwriters and later issued her own worship-driven solo album, Sundown, in 2023. Raised in Australia, she came to faith at thirteen after visiting church alongside a schoolfriend. Although her parents initially viewed the commitment as temporary, Hobbs persisted, eventually serving as a worship leader, guitarist, and songwriter within her local youth ministry. Those songwriting abilities soon reached Hillsong, where she contributed signature worship pieces including “Touch of Heaven,” “Thank You Jesus,” and “Never Walk Alone.” When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in 2020, she devoted time to fresh material; the resulting collection prompted her to develop a solo worship project. Joined by an intimate gathering of roughly one hundred fellow worshipers and friends, Hobbs performed the songs during a two-hour service alongside Ben Fielding, Cass Langton, Alexander Pappas, and additional collaborators. The first track from those sessions, “Give Thanks,” surfaced in late 2022, with the complete album Sundown following in February 2023.
