Biography
Hannah Lou Clark, recognized as a vocalist, composer, and guitarist, has gained attention both for her contemplative indie rock creations and her involvement with the alternative groups Arthur and Foe. In Fleet, England, during 2005, she launched Arthur alongside fellow students from her school, taking the role of lead vocalist. For her initial independent releases, she employed the alias Hannah Shark. Prior to the group's dissolution in 2009, the young musicians independently issued a trio of EPs. At that point, Clark shifted focus toward the dramatic dance rock style embodied in her Foe endeavor. The project's introductory EP, Hot New Trash, emerged in 2011, with the complete album Bad Dream Hotline arriving the subsequent year, after which she began producing material under her personal identity. Late in 2014, via Quatre Femme Records—the imprint established by her and her siblings—she put out Silent Type, her debut EP as Hannah Lou Clark, characterized by a leaner yet still guitar-driven sound. This was succeeded in spring 2016 by the follow-up EP It's Your Love.
