Biography
The husband-and-wife duo of Dee Dee Penny, Dum Dum Girls guitarist and vocalist, and Crocodiles member Brandon Welchez launched Haunted Hearts in the early 2010s. During initial press conversations the pair portrayed the project as an even balance of Crocodiles’ abrasive rock tones and the more pop-minded songcraft of Dum Dum Girls. Their debut single, Something That Feels Bad Is Something That Feels Good, appeared in February 2013 on the couple’s own Zoo Music label and was followed in summer 2014 by the first full-length Initiation, likewise issued on Zoo Music.
