Biography
It was during 2002 in New Orleans that drummer Sharon Heather crossed paths with singer/guitarist Christy Kane, prompting the pair to begin shaping songs under the name Hazard County Girls. Before Jennifer K claimed the bass slot, Sean Yseult (ex-White Zombie) and Katie Campbell (Nashville Pussy) each handled those duties in turn. Once the membership stabilized, the three-piece hit the road and soon claimed the South plus surrounding territories as their own domain. Several singles and compilation cuts appeared next, leading to the arrival of the Never No More LP on Wooden Wheel in late 2002. The record displayed the Hazard County Girls’ shadowy blend of sludgy riffs, droll vocals, and pummeling percussion.
