Head High

Head High serves as a pseudonym for German techno producer René Pawlowitz, widely recognized under his primary identity as Shed. Material issued via the Head High name, as well as the closely affiliated WK7 project, draws from the early-'90s rave era in techno and house by blending warm, uplifting synth pads with high-energy, looping rhythms that sometimes incorporate breakbeats. The project launched in 2010 via the 12" single "It's a Love Thing (Piano Invasion)," which was succeeded by a 2012 split single alongside WK7, the 2013 track "Burning," and the 2014 double-EP Megatrap. Tracks from both aliases later appeared together on the continuous-mix CD Home.House.Hardcore, issued in 2015 by Power House—the same imprint responsible for every preceding single.
