Headphone

Headphone took shape as a cinematic duo in Ghent, Belgium during the late 1990s, when Charles H. Garabed and Jean-Michel Pires came together to form the project. Their work drew on an eclectic range of reference points stretching from John Carpenter to Public Image Ltd., and they characterized the resulting sound as "pop with a definite dark side." An anthology of early recordings, Work in Progress, 1998-200-, appeared first, followed by the proper debut album Two Stories High in 2006 and the subsequent release Ghostwriter in 2008.
