Biography
Headway came into existence in 2003 when singer and guitarist David Wright, along with his close associate guitarist Joe Watts, decided to start fresh after growing dissatisfied with the path of their prior group. Bassist Dave Astbury and drummer Johnny Dakers soon completed the rhythm section, though Dakers was shortly succeeded by Jay Wright. The final addition was keyboardist Tom Harrison, whose arrival completed the lineup. Having inked a deal with Silvertone, which operates as a subsidiary under Interscope and Universal, the group entered the studio to begin work on their first album during the period spanning late 2007 into early 2008.
