Biography
Hearts & Hands, a post-hardcore outfit, first took shape in 2010 when Alex Lyman, guitar technician for Alex Koehler’s deathcore band Chelsea Grin, wrote the song “We’re Not Alone” and recorded it with Garrett Garfield of Becoming Everest as what was intended to be a one-time side project. Koehler listened to the finished track and was invited to add his own vocals, at which point the trio formally established Hearts & Hands. The band issued its self-titled debut EP in 2012; afterward Koehler elected to devote his primary attention to Chelsea Grin, while Lyman and Garfield carried on with Hearts & Hands.
