Heidenreich

Genre: Pop
Origin: U.S.A
Listen on Coda
Emerging from Vienna, Austria, Heidenreich originated as an offshoot endeavor involving Abigor’s Thurisaz on vocals and Peter Kubic on guitar, bass, drums, and additional instruments, yielding the recordings A Death Gate Cycle in 1997 and Trance of an Unholy Union in 1999 that probed the more experimental reaches of black metal. Lucia M. Faroutan supplied keyboards and supplementary vocals on the second of those releases, after which the project was set aside while its principals concentrated on Abigor’s direct black metal work. Sporadic signs of a possible Heidenreich revival have appeared since Abigor’s 2003 breakup.
