Biography
High Ends surfaced in 2013 as the analog synth-driven solo project of Yukon Blonde frontman Jeffrey Innes, formed while he stepped away temporarily from his main band. Although centered on Innes alone, the effort brought aboard several fellow musicians, among them Louise Burns and New Pornographer Kathryn Calder supplying backup vocals, Gold & Youth's Jeff Mitchelmore handling percussion, and Ladyhawk's Darcy Hancock adding guitar. Innes issued the first single, "The Weight," under the High Ends name in May 2014, before the Dine Alone-issued full-length Super Class followed that October.
