Biography
Higher Authorities emerged as a trippy, dub-influenced side project from Adrian "Ade" Blackburn and Jonathan Hartley of the Liverpool post-punk band Clinic. Looser and more relaxed than their primary group, the duo builds tracks around midtempo drum machine beats enveloped in swirling keyboards and echo effects. Legendary dub producer Adrian Sherwood mixed their debut full-length Neptune, issued by Domino in April of 2016.
