Hiromi Kanda, a singer from Japan, first entered the world in Nagasaki and spent her early years across both that city and Osaka, taking up singing when she reached the age of three. A contract with a domestic record company at nineteen resulted in one album before she turned her focus to crafting lyrics rather than delivering performances. Her later return to the microphone centered on pre-rock standards from the Great American Songbook, which yielded the album Hiromi in Love containing material by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Rodger & Hart, among others, issued by Music Gate on March 16, 2010.
