Biography
David Bryant of Godspeed You! Black Emperor joined forces with Growing member and Total Life mastermind Kevin Doria to launch Hiss Tracts, a project devoted to experimental soundscapes. The pair first crossed paths in 2004 and worked together on multiple endeavors before officially forming Hiss Tracts in 2008. Blending drone, field recordings, and ambient elements, they assemble environmental audio into dense, immersive sonic tapestries. Compiling material gathered across years of shared sessions, Bryant and Doria issued their debut album, Shortwave Nights, on Constellation Records in 2014.
