Biography
Formed in Roseville, California, indie-pop outfit Holiday Flyer united siblings John Conley on vocals and guitar with Katie Conley handling vocals and drums. Several singles preceded the release of their first album, Try Not to Worry, which Silver Girl issued in 1995. Bassist Verna Brock, already recognized through her Beanpole and Rocketship work, joined for the 1997 follow-up The Rainbow Confection and expanded the project into a trio. Darla put out the Blue Harvest EP the next year, while the third Holiday Flyer album, You Make Us Go, arrived in 1999.
