Biography
Holosud unites the efforts of Joe Zimmerman and Felix Randomiz, both roster members at the respected A-Musik imprint in Koln. Recording individually for the label as Schlammpeitziger and F.X. Randomiz respectively, the pair crafts densely sequenced material that alternates between the shadowy and humorous sides of contemporary electronica. Their untitled first EP, released in 1996, contributed to A-Musik’s growing profile as a hub for forward-thinking experimental electronic work that remains only loosely tied to the most eccentric branches of post-techno. The duo’s debut album, Fijnewas Afpompen, arrived in 1998 and extended the EP’s approach by folding in whimsical melodic touches drawn from Randomiz’s solo output.
