Biography
After The Cynics disbanded in 1997, vocalist Michael Kastelic formed Honeyburst, drawing on ex-Heretics guitarist Mike Michalski for support. Bassist Smith Hutchings and drummer Jon Couch completed the lineup, transporting the resulting blend of 60s garage sleaze and '77 punk back to the group’s Pittsburgh origins. Honeyburst’s debut full-length Live At Nietzche's appeared as a self-released effort in 1998, with the EP Paint arriving the next year on Get Bent Records.
