Biography
Established toward the close of the 1960s, Hookfoot originated as a five-piece recording ensemble assembled from several studio musicians linked to Dick James' publishing operations and subsequently his DJM Records imprint. Although their output found distribution via A&M Records, resulting in four albums issued stateside, the group failed to achieve notable chart success. The initial configuration featured Ian Duck handling vocals and harmonica, Dave Glover on bass, Roger Pope contributing drums and vocals, along with Caleb Quaye providing guitar and vocals; Bob Kulick later supplemented Quaye on guitar and vocals, while Fred Gandy eventually took over bass duties.
