Biography
Warren Kendrick, known for his work with the Litter, the Electras, and the Paisleys, oversaw production of Hope's lone single on his Peace imprint. Gentle pop-rock numbers with folk influences and light orchestral elements characterized the release, which showcased the high, almost effeminate vocals of singer John Tuttle in a pleasing though unexceptional manner. Three of the group's members had previously played in the Castaways, a Minneapolis outfit renowned for their 1965 one-off garage-pop success "Liar, Liar." The tracks "Of Times You Can See" and "Greenhouse" both appear on the Arf! Arf! collection The Scotty Story, a set of thirty recordings that Kendrick helmed across his various labels.
