Biography
House of Heavy, a Swedish heavy metal band, came together in 2006 through longtime friends Henrik Lundberg and Mattias Wellhag. Their blistering, melodic arena rock recalls the late-'80s recordings of Megadeth, Dio, and Judas Priest. The pair launched their joint work after separate stretches in and out of various other groups. Living-room rehearsals, home-recorded demos, and evenings devoted only to listening filled the next two years before the duo obtained a digital distribution deal with Metal Blade and an international contract with Spiritual Beast Records, which brought about the full-length debut Pure in 2009.
