Biography
The Austin, TX-based outfit Household Names formed around vocalist and guitarist Jason Garcia. The group’s roster later grew to incorporate bassist Chris Peters, drummer C.J. Barker, and keyboardist Todd Mosier. Their first official release, the Trouble With Being Nice LP, appeared in 2000. Lars Göransson, recognized for his association with the Cardigans, co-produced the record, a collection of expansive melodic power pop that drew steady regional and online attention. Area indie Sonic Therapy then issued the Hold on Tight! EP in 2004, which earned a similarly positive response.
